Adam loses his leverage against Tad, and thus also against Babe and Jamie.
Babe and Jamie are apprised of this from Tad and David, feeling enormous relief.
In the young couple’s minds, they are now free and clear to take off with Ace and head on down to Mexico to start their new lives.
Babe and Jamie steal Ace from OLTL’s Kelly and Kevin, and re-christen him James.
Before leaving Pine Valley, Babe bids Bianca a fond farewell, as Bianca slowly realizes that this is for real, Babe’s really going away for good.
Babe intends to leave behind a letter for Bianca, detailing the whole truth.
The letter winds up in David’s hands. After reading it, he flips his lid on Krystal.
David accuses Krystal of not warning him in advance of Babe’s plans.
Tad has his eye on son Jamie, sensing clues to what everybody’s been keeping a tight lid on.
Tad sniffs out more truths in this big secret of Krystal and David’s.
When Tad discovers the extent of Krystal’s betrayal, namely her hand in changing the DNA results, he cuts all ties with her.
Tad sees Bianca very cozy with Babe’s daughter, Bess, lookin’ the picture of Madonna and child. Tad goes, “Hmmm.”
Krystal sacrifices her hopes and dreams of a future as Mrs. Tad Martin.
Tad bitterly lights into Krystal.
Luckily for Krystal, David will remain by her side, secretly pining away.
JR doesn’t take kindly to the secret about Bess.
JR’s solution is to play keep away with Bess and Bianca, and keep Bianca in the dark.
The authorities assume they’ve got the right man for the crime of attempted murder.
But Ryan is starting to believe Ethan really had no part in shooting him in the gut, that maybe Zach did.
Ryan and Greenlee rule out a pregnancy, but not a poisoning. Question for them turns out to be: Who did it?
Jonathan interferes with whatever’s going on between Bianca and Maggie.
You see, Jonathan has fallen heavily, deeply, madly for Maggie.
Greenlee receives help from the most unlikely source, her arch-enemy Kendall.
Kendall’s boner could be her ultimate undoing, resulting in a loss of that which is most important to her.
Edmund alerts Zach about the status of his marriage to Maria, that it’s over and done with, and that Zach is free and clear to reunite with his Maureen.
To Maria, that’s news, because she’s not finished with Edmund by a long shot.
Anita confides in Aidan about the possible dissolution of her marriage to Bobby.
JR defies Adam, refusing to allow his father to dictate any terms.

AMC’s casting department is on a search for the recurring character named Kurt Mullen, a lawyer who will try to bring Ryan’s attempted murderer to justice.
James Scott (Ethan) may strike most people as a highbrow, elite sort of gentleman, into ballet and opera, the classics all the way. He does enjoy himself some Nina Simone, jazz and Beethoven, but put him on a treadmill, have him go off jogging and he’s grooving to some British trip-hop band. His musical tastes run toward the eclectic.
Jeff Branson (Jonathan) sounds like he could easily pull double-duty as an actor and a designer chef. He didn’t experience much fanciful fare as a child in Missouri, but as a young adult struggling to make it in the world, he did some considerable time in the kitchens of some good New York chefs, learning to keep ingredients and accents simple, adjusting for the flavors of a particular type of cuisine. He can whip up three different types of guacamole, depending on your mood for Vietnamese, Spanish or Thai, for example. And he knows his seared ahi from his miso sauce. The actor is, obviously, a devout TV Food Network fan, as well.
Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie) can’t get enough of the soundtrack to the latest offbeat movie, Garden State. She’s always listening to it every chance she gets.
